3D WORKSHOP
A good example for illustrating the ease of use and functionality of
3D-WorkShop is the calculation of a bolt hole circle. A bolt hole circle is a
circle generated from the centers of other circles. 3D-WorkShop simplifies this
process using drag and drop techniques. All you have to do is measure the bolt
holes. After the bolt holes are measured, you can select them using normal
Windows selection methods, namely Shift + Click to select circles that are
adjacent to each other in the feature list, or Control + Click to select circles
that are scattered throughout the feature list. After you have selected at least
three circles, drag the selection to the circle icon. Instantly you will see a
new circle in the feature list that is the resultant circle constructed thought
the centers of the selected circles.
TOLERANCE WIZARD - Applies True Position, RFS, LMC, MMC, Linear, and Bilateral tolerances to appropriate feature parameters. Form tolerances are automatically calculated on all mutli-point features.
COMPATIBILITY - Capable of interfacing
to all Coordinate Measuring Machines. MULTIPLE REFERENCE FRAMES - 3D-Workshop can have an unlimited number of alignment frames. Switching between alignment frames is a simple menu selection.
LEVEL ON CYLINDERS - previously
measured cylinders can be used to establish a level alignment. LOCKABLE FEATURE DATA - Feature positions can be locked to the alignment frame they were measured in, or allowed to roam as you change from one alignment frames to another.
